Tips to Separate Personal Life from Professional Life

In 21st century, society has undergone many changes. Thoughts of people are changing, they are talking about women empowerment, entrepreneurship and many more issues. And it’s completely true that now females has broken all barriers to largely occupy the corporate world and several other sectors. Women are giving her best to every spheres of personal and professional life. But at the same time it’s not so easy to create a balance between both.

Sometimes it becomes problematic to manage personal as well as professional life in a perfect manner especially for women folk. They have to undergo many issues to create perfect work/life balance. At times many of the women also fails to do so. But don’t worry, take a chill pill and follow some measures to create perfect balance between your personal and professional life. 

How to Separate Personal Life from Professional Life?

It is very important to separate work and personal life in order to avoid many issues and maintain good physical and mental health. Now it’s not tough task to separate personal life from professional life. It all becomes easy due to changed work pattern and technological advancements. 

1. Figure out what is creating an imbalance work/life. Like if you are doing overtime ignoring your personal health, family and friends. Handling official issues at home without taking proper rest and vacations then it’s time to stop all these habits. Try to fix the issue before it disturb your mental peace and happiness.

2. Add Punctuality in your Habit: Always attend and leave office at time unless some urgent work is not there. It is very easy way to create a perfect separation between personal and professional life. 

3. Learn to Say No: It is also necessary that when to say no to your professional as well as personal call requests. If you are not willing to perform unreasonable work requests beyond your boundaries then it’s good to refuse it. At the same time avoid personal meets and private issues discussion at workplace as much as possible.



4. Try to Give 100% Presence: If you are at your workplace then forget all worries of your personal life. Make sure that you have to give 100% and your personal matters don’t affect professional work and vice-versa. 

5. Maintain Separate Personal and Professional Networks: If you are active on social network then its necessary that you should separate personal life from professional life by creating separate social accounts. Try to transfer your official contacts to twitter or LinkedIn and create separate brand page on facebook or other social accounts which can’t access your personal contacts. 

These are few tips that will help you in creating balance between work and personal life. However, it is quite tough to maintain complete separation between personal and professional life. But “Bliss lies in the balance” so, you can take few steps towards it.
